Pamela D. Doman

Mrs. Doman has been teaching for Los Angeles Unified Schools since 1985.  She started at John H. Francis Polytechnic High, where she spent 3 years teaching dance, aerobics, drill team, and cheerleading, and coaching softball.

Mrs. Doman moved to University High in 1988, and was assigned head coaching responsibilities for Girls Gymnastics, and Girls Volleyball as well as teaching assignments in English and Health.   "I have worn many hats at Uni, both as a Warrior and a Wildcat.  I have been a teacher of Dance, English, Health, Physical Education; head coach of Gymnastics (CIF Champions), Volleyball (CIF Runner-up), Cheerleading, and Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving; Athletic Director, Dean, Department Chair for Health, and Physical Education; Arts Articulation Coordinator, and Dance Director."

She also had the opportunity to help open a brand new school in 2004, and spent two years helping create and implement new programs at Northridge Academy High, and served as the school’s first Athletic Director.

"I have been recognized as a CIF winning Coach by CLAWS, and as Dance Educator of the Year by CAHPERD local 406.  I served as both Assistant Director (2002) and Director (2003) of the California Dance and Movement Workshop for Educators.  I have also been a presentor at professional conferences  like CAHPERD and AAHPERD in physical education and dance."

As a teacher, Mrs. Doman has worked on specific teams: a Flamenco Dance and English Literature collaboration; with the Performing Arts Staff to produce many Winter and Spring Festivals of Arts; and now in concert with Technical Arts on design and staging for our Winter and Spring Dance Concerts.  She is a member of the Uni School Based Learning Team.  She has served on the LAUSD Curriculum Design Teams in Health, and later in Physical Education, creating model lesson plans for district publication.
